Roberto Antonio Tejeda III (Bass-Baritone) was born in The Bronx, New York City. He is a rising sophomore and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in PPL (Philosophy, Politics, and Law). Before his undergraduate journey at Binghamton University, he had performed roles including Calchas from Offenbach’s La Belle Hélène, Cinderella’s Prince in Sondheim’s Into The Woods, Giorgio/Annibale in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers, and Lurch in Lippa, Brickman, and Elice’s The Addams Family at the famous Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts. This past August, he was a studio artist at the Songe d'été en Musique Festival in Quebec, Canada. In his undergraduate journey, so far, he has won first place in the Classical and Hall Johnson Spirituals divisions, respectively, in the NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Eastern Region Competition. Furthermore, he starred as Strongman/Bass Hall Music Artist in the show Sid The Serpent Who Wanted To Sing by Malcolm Fox, and in opera scenes, performed the roles of Don Giovanni and Leporello. Additionally, he was a semi-finalist in Opera Ebony’s Benjamin Matthews Vocal Competition. Lastly, he has performed in a masterclass with the world-renowned soprano Nicole Cabell. Mr. Tejeda is in the studio of Professor Thomas Goodheart.
